Landen Crancer, CPA

Landen Crancer is the Chief of Staff & Associate Vice President of Finance and Operations for the Arkansas State University System.

In this dual role, he supports the System President and Board of Trustees in advancing key operational, financial, and strategic initiatives across the System’s seven institutions.

Crancer provides oversight for the System’s financial operations, which include coordination of bond and financing packages with underwriters, counsel, and trustees. He also helps oversee comprehensive employee benefits programs managed centrally by the System Office—including a self-insured health plan.

He provides oversight of the System’s Internal Audit function, provides assistance in managing the legislative budget process, and supports System oversight of institutional budgeting to ensure fiscal sustainability and alignment with state policy priorities.

Before joining the ASU System Office, Crancer worked in public accounting with FORVIS, LLP (formerly BKD, LLP) and Frost, PLLC, specializing in assurance services for both private and public sector clients. A certified public accountant, he holds a Master of Business Administration and a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Arkansas State University. He is an active member of NACUBO, SACUBO, and AACUBO, and serves on the executive committee of the Justin Moore St. Jude Golf Classic benefiting St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
