The Office of Finance, led by Associate Vice President Landen Crancer, coordinates financial policies and procedures for the ASU System and manages systemwide employee benefits. The office assists with capital project financing including coordination of bond and other finance packages with underwriters, counsel and trustees. The office also works with the president and the chancellors to review annual operating budgets and tuition requests for approval of the board. Its services include:

• Assistance in capital project financing. The ASU System is rated A1 by Moody’s Investor Service, which enables the system to leverage more competitive interest rates. System staff coordinates bond and other finance packages with underwriters, counsel, and trustees.
• Comprehensive employee benefits packages that are managed and coordinated by the system office on behalf of the campuses. Benefits including a self-insured health plan, tuition discounts for employee and dependents, competitive life, dental and disability coverage.
• Strengthened internal controls to prevent fraud and material loss through a central Internal Audit Office.
• Assistance in managing the legislative budget process including development of institutional requests to tracking fiscal legislation.
• System oversight of the budgeting process that provides a holistic perspective and experience in complex state government matters.
