Henderson State University in Arkadelphia is a public, four-year regional institution that offers more than 85 academic programs through its Caver College of Aviation, Science, and Nursing; College of Business; College of Performing Arts and Social Sciences; and Teachers College.

Henderson emphasizes preparing students for employment in high-demand fields through access, affordability and bridging school-to-work.

Founded in 1890, Henderson served as a college for teachers for more than four decades and continues to be known as a national leader in teacher education. Its business and accounting degrees are accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business, and the Arkansas Aviation Academy program offers the only four-year aviation degree at a public university in Arkansas. Henderson degrees connect Henderson students from school to work in careers that are in high demand.

Henderson experienced a 9% overall enrollment increase in fall 2025, & enrollment for first-time freshmen increased by 46%.
