The first U.S. style residential university campus in Mexico with credentials recognized in both countries

A-State Campus Queretaro

Global Opportunities

Arkansas State University Campus Queretaro (A-State CQ) became the first U.S.-style, comprehensive American-university campus established in Mexico in September 2017.

The campus was privately funded by Mexican foundation ASUCQ A.C., led by entrepreneur Ricardo González, who invested more than $100 million to build the first phase of academic, residential and recreation buildings on a 370-acre site.

A-State CQ offers undergraduate and graduate degree programs in three major subject areas: business & communications, engineering & technology, and science.  Diplomas are valid in both the United States and Mexico, and all coursework is delivered in English by faculty approved by A-State in Arkansas.

The campus emphasizes a “living-learning” residential model — meaning students can live on-campus in residence halls, in contrast to the more common commuting model in many Mexican universities. The student body is international and multicultural, and the campus setting is designed to prepare students for global work environments.

A-State offers study abroad opportunities for students at both the Jonesboro and Queretaro campuses.

A-State CQ is part of the Elisia Education Hub, which also includes New York Institute of Technology College of Osteopathic Medicine and offers an accessible and globally connected education model that empowers every student from Mexico and around the world while opening new pathways globally.
