What Is MASA Medical Transport?
A MASA MTS Membership provides peace of mind and financial protection for emergency medical transportation — both air and ground — across the United States and Canada.
Regardless of whether the ambulance provider is in-network or out-of-network, MASA works directly with providers to ensure members pay $0 out-of-pocket for covered emergency transport services (after your health plan pays its portion).
Covered Services
Emergent Air Transportation
If a serious medical emergency occurs, members have access to emergency air transport to a medical facility or between medical facilities as needed.
Emergent Ground Transportation
In the event of a medical emergency, members receive emergency ground transportation to or between medical facilities.
Non-Emergency Inter-Facility Transportation
If you are stable but require a higher level of care unavailable at your current facility, MASA provides non-emergency air or ground transportation between medical centers.
Repatriation / Recuperation
If you or a family member are hospitalized more than 100 miles from home, MASA covers air or ground medical transport to a facility closer to home for continued recovery.
