MOUNTAIN HOME, Ark. — Arkansas State University–Mountain Home invites the community to an evening of entertainment on April 19 as part of its 30th anniversary celebration, featuring a special performance by internationally acclaimed illusionist Rick Thomas.
The free event, The Magic Continues, will begin at 6:00 p.m. at the Ed Coulter Performing Arts Center inside The Vada Sheid Community Development Center at ASUMH. While admission is free and open to all ages, tickets are required due to limited seating.
The signature event serves as a highlight of ASUMH’s 30th anniversary, bringing the community together to celebrate three decades of education, impact and growth. The evening reflects the spirit of the college and its continued commitment to enriching the region through meaningful experiences.
Rick Thomas, one of the most accomplished magical entertainers in the world, will bring his signature blend of grand illusions, comedy and storytelling to Mountain Home. Known for his captivating stage presence and innovative performances, Thomas has completed five world tours across more than 50 countries and performed over 20,000 shows worldwide.
His distinguished career includes headlining performances at Caesars Colosseum, the Sydney Opera House, Broadway and a remarkable 15-year run in Las Vegas. Among his many honors are the prestigious title of “Illusionist of the World” from the World Magic Awards and the “Key to the City of Las Vegas.” He is also recognized for starring in the most successful family-oriented show in Las Vegas history.
Thomas has appeared on numerous national television programs, including his own primetime special, as well as NBC’s The World’s Greatest Magic, Masters of Illusion, and features on major networks such as ABC, FOX, TLC, MTV, Animal Planet, and the History Channel.
Blending stunning visual illusions, dynamic choreography, and an engaging narrative, Thomas delivers a performance that transcends traditional magic, offering audiences a truly immersive experience.
