WEST MEMPHIS, Ark. — Arkansas State University Mid-South continues to build on its recent enrollment momentum, with 1,279 students currently enrolled for fall 2026. The current total is 3.9% higher than the 1,231 students enrolled at the end of fall 2025, when enrollment had already climbed 14% over the previous year. Enrollment will continue to climb through Oct. 5, as students continue enrolling in the second short-term semester.
Full-time equivalent enrollment increased 6.5% to 751, up from 705 at the end of fall 2025, outpacing the overall growth in student headcount. The increase indicates more students are taking a full course load and more credit hours are being generated across the college.
ASU Mid-South is also seeing strong growth among first-time entering students, with 150 students beginning their college journey this fall, an 11.9% increase from the 134 first-time entering students enrolled in fall 2025. This growth indicates that students beginning their college journey are interested in ASU Mid-South and its programs.
“This continued growth is a reflection of the confidence students have in ASU Mid-South and the opportunities available to them here,” said ASU Mid-South Chancellor Dr. Debra West. “Last year’s enrollment increase showed that we were moving in the right direction by more closely aligning our programs with local workforce opportunities, and seeing that growth continue this year is significant. We are proud of that progress, but as we see increased economic development in our region, we are even more focused on what comes next.”
With enrollment moving upward for a second consecutive year, full-time equivalent growth outpacing headcount growth and more students entering the college for the first time, ASU Mid-South is entering the 2026-27 academic year with momentum. The college will continue building on that progress by connecting students with affordable education, career preparation and opportunities to build a future in the Mid-South.
