WEST MEMPHIS, Ark. — Arkansas State University Mid-South has once again been recognized as a Great College to Work For, earning recognition in five categories and a place on the program’s 2026 Honor Roll.
This marks the sixth time ASU Mid-South has been recognized as a Great College to Work For and the fourth time the college has been named to the Great Colleges Honor Roll. Previous recognitions came in 2017, 2018, 2020, 2024 and 2025, with Honor Roll recognition in 2018, 2024 and 2025.
ASU Mid-South is recognized in five categories in 2026:

- Faculty & Staff Well-being
- Shared Governance
- Faculty Experience
“This recognition means a great deal because it comes directly from the people who make ASU Mid-South what it is,” said ASU Mid-South Chancellor Dr. Debra West. “Our employees care deeply about our students, our community and one another. To be recognized again across these areas is a meaningful reflection of the culture our employees have built together.”
The Great Colleges to Work For program is one of the largest workplace-recognition programs in higher education. The 2026 results are based on a two-part assessment that includes an institutional questionnaire covering employment data and workplace policies, along with a survey of faculty, administrators and professional support staff. Employee feedback is the primary factor in determining recognition.
The 2026 survey included 171 colleges and universities, with 76 institutions receiving recognition in at least one category. Forty-two institutions were named to the Great Colleges Honor Roll.
