Cultivating the next generation of leaders across Arkansas

Student Leadership Institute

Developing Leaders

The Arkansas State University System Student Leadership Institute is a dynamic program designed to cultivate the next generation of leaders from the Arkansas State University System’s five two-year institutions.

Through a series of interactive sessions, workshops, and networking opportunities, student participants gain valuable insight into leadership principles, effective communication, and strategic decision-making. The institute, led by System President Dr. Brendan Kelly, provides a unique opportunity for students to connect with university executives, board members, and community leaders, offering an in-depth look at higher education governance and leadership within the ASU System.

In addition to personal and professional development, the institute fosters collaboration among campuses and builds a strong sense of unity across the system’s two-year institutions. Participants engage in meaningful discussions about the challenges and opportunities facing higher education, explore pathways for civic and community engagement, and develop practical skills that extend far beyond the classroom. By investing in these emerging student leaders, the ASU System is helping to strengthen its campuses and the communities they serve.
