Arkansas State University-Beebe (ASUB) is a public two-year community college with the third-largest enrollment among two-year institutions in Arkansas.

ASU-Beebe is the perfect place to launch your future, offering affordable tuition, hands-on learning in small classes, and standout programs you won’t find anywhere else in Arkansas. With a vibrant campus community and supportive on-campus living, it’s a college experience designed to help you succeed from day one.

Founded in 1927 as the Junior Agricultural School of Central Arkansas, ASUB has evolved to offer many academic and technical programs with campuses in Beebe, Searcy, Heber Springs, and at the Little Rock Air Force Base, plus online instruction.

ASUB offers more than 100 academic pathways, including associate degrees, one-year technical certificates, certificates of proficiency, and non-credit training.  It’s also home to a degree center for Arkansas State University.

Notable programs include John Deere Agricultural Equipment Technology and the state’s only veterinary technology and pharmacy technician degrees.

ASUB was the first Arkansas community college to offer residence halls, located on the Beebe campus.

John Deere Agriculture Technology

The John Deere Agriculture Technology program at ASU-Beebe prepares students for a successful career as John Deere service technicians in the fast-paced, technology-driven agricultural equipment industry. Students gain hands-on experience with advanced diagnostic and repair tools, develop strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills, and learn to communicate and collaborate effectively in both classroom and internship settings. Graduates are ready to earn John Deere certifications and adapt to emerging technologies, opening doors to careers as service technicians, service writers, or service managers. ASU-Beebe proudly offers the only John Deere Ag Equipment Tech program in Arkansas, providing unmatched access to real-world training and industry expertise.

Veterinary Technology

The Veterinary Technology program at ASU-Beebe prepares students for a career as a certified veterinary technician through a rigorous, hands-on curriculum emphasizing knowledge, technical skills, professionalism and ethics. Students gain experience in simulation labs and preceptor settings, developing the skills needed to provide evolving patient care and succeed in the Veterinary Technician National Exam (VTNE). Graduates are ready to pursue careers in private practices, emergency and specialty clinics, pharmaceutical sales, military and government positions, humane societies, and lab animal medicine and research.

Computerized Machining Technology

The Computerized Machining Technology program at ASU-Beebe’s Searcy campus equips students with the skills to design, prototype and manufacture precision machined parts. Through hands-on experience with advanced computer numerical control (CNC) technologies, students learn to create tools, dies, molds and other components using 3D printing, high-tech lathes and milling equipment. Using industry-standard software such as SolidWorks and MasterCam, students gain expertise in both digital design and manual machining. Graduates are prepared to interpret blueprints, write CNC programs, and operate machines to exact tolerances, earning opportunities for industry-recognized certifications. Career paths include CNC programming, machine operation, product manufacturing, design engineering and quality control.

Nursing (Practical & Registered Nursing)

ABU-Beebe offers comprehensive nursing programs designed to prepare students for rewarding careers in health care. The Practical Nursing program is offered on the Searcy and Heber Springs campuses, with an 11-month full-time option in Searcy and an 18-month part-time option in Heber Springs. For credentialed LPNs or paramedics seeking to advance their education, ASU-Beebe also offers a fast-track LPN-to-RN program at the Searcy campus. Graduates of both programs are prepared to model accountability, integrity and professional responsibility while meeting the evolving needs of patients and communities.
